The design concept for this children’s  fire station is to use a single design element that can be easily repeated, manufactured and stacked to construct a whole, just like a conventional brick construction of a fire station. The idea was further shaped by the theme given as FUTURE, to create a structure invoking a sense of future while inspiring a sense of public duty for the next generation in Asia. We studied traditional Asian architecture and design, taking cues from castles, temples, and nature motifs, developed an organic and playful unit at child’s scale that can be stacked to create a dynamic façade and atmosphere.
