A group of young Japanese IT entrepreneurs approached us and asked that their office be ready by next week. They just found a space in an old building in Shibuya, but they only have a budget of three million (yen) for everything. They plan to expand their office exponentially in about three months. The design strategy is to provide different types and patterns of plywood cabinets that can be configured at any time to provide the surface for their computer work and meetings. The systematic cabinets are self-stacking in dynamic patterns so that their configuration can change in a second based on their needs and workload.

若い日本人IT起業家のグループから「来週までにオフィスを立ち上げたい！」という依頼を受けた。彼らは渋谷の古いビルに新たな拠点を見つけたばかり。手持ちの総予算はスリーミリオン（=300万円）。また3か月後には急速な事業拡大を予定していた。合板製キャビネットを多様なパターンで用意、必要に応じて随時自由に組み替えられるワークスペースを提案。キャビネットはコンピューター作業のための作業台となり、自立し積み重なりながら作業要件による動的なレイアウトを形成できる。これにより、業務内容や作業量に合わせてレイアウトを刻一刻瞬時に可変できる、フリーアドレスを超えたダイナミックなオフィス環境が実現した。
